Beck’s Garden Supplies has been serving the wholesale needs of independent retailers and Farmers since the late 1950′s. Originally founded by Bob Beck, Sr. as a wholesaler of feed and peat moss, Beck’s has continually evolved its product line to meet the needs of a constantly developing industry.
In 1977, Bob Beck, Jr. joined his father in a partnership, which would lead to his eventual take over of the company in 1982. Building a business on honesty, respect and a high level of customer service, Bob successfully managed and grew the business for more than 30 years. Also, Bob developed highly diverse product lines ranging from bagged and bulk commodities alike to truly make Beck’s Garden Supplies a one stop shopping experience for its customers.
After managing the day-to-day operations of Beck’s Garden Supplies for over 30 years, Bob’s son-in-law Jim Davern, joined the business in 2007 after working for Ryan Homes and spent two years learning operations and developing relationships with the current customer base and vendors. In 2009, Jim purchased the company and still manages the company today.
Although the name on the door has changed, Jim continues to uphold the same core business philosophy that has made Beck’s an industry name synonymous with customer service, high quality products and competitive prices.
